All Aboard Club is looking for two more voluntary directors to join our board, where their experience and skills can guide our social enterprise through the next stage of our development.

We have already supported over 400 families with autistic and ADHD children in the last 3 years. Do you know someone who could help us develop our services further, so that children, families and professionals gain a broader understanding of autism and ADHD?

All Aboard Club runs inclusive play sessions and events for autistic and ADHD children, where they can develop their social and communication skills in a safe, understanding and supportive environment.

All Aboard Club was set up in 2018 by Richard Semmens, following his own autism and ADHD diagnoses. All Aboard Club now runs in 6 venues across London and the South East, and has supported over 500 families with children aged 4 to 18. These families often travel long distances to our events, knowing that their children will welcome our inclusive and non-judgemental approach. All Aboard Club staff have lived experience of autism and other neurodiverse conditions, so we understand the children’s challenges.

Currently, we are going through a period of organisational change and are looking to restructure the business as a CIC. This will also enable us to apply for grant funding to run additional community projects. As part of that process, we are on the look-out for additional voluntary directors who can guide and support our ongoing development. .

We are looking for people who could think strategically about taking All Aboard Club forward, to bounce ideas off and provide guidance based on their professional knowledge and experience. It would be useful if you had first-hand experience of working with autistic children, either as a professional, parent or relative, so that you have some understanding of the challenges faced by the families and their children.

It would also be useful if you had experience in the following areas:

  • Identifying and applying for grants
  • Developing partnerships with suppliers and sponsors
  • Providing coaching or mentoring to a small business owner

You would be working in a very dynamic and agile environment, with a business owner who is autistic and has ADHD.

All Aboard Club mainly operates around London and the South East, but we’d welcome applications from suitably qualified people from outside this area who would be happy to work remotely.
